Business Administration (BWL)

Business Administration (BWL/Gestion d'entreprise) deals with the processes and complexities within a firm and its business environment, including all corporate activities ranging from planning, organising, and implementing to controlling and supervising. Business Administration deals with all internal matters of a company, being involved in all processes of the individual operating departments such as purchasing, sales, logistics, marketing, controlling, financial accounting, human resources and much more.

Economics (VWL)

Economics (VWL/Sciences économiques) deals with economical questions and concerns in general. Before investigating specific interventions and its effects on the economy, economic studies try to understand the underlying processes and its laws. Economics is mainly based on mathematical and statistical analysis and its models describe the behaviors and implications of households and firms on markets and explain the evolution of prices, wages, production and trade in the context of a very broad spectrum of real phenomena.

Business mathematics (Wirtschaftsmathematiker)

Business mathematics seeks to solve economic problems by means of methods and concepts provided in the sphere of mathematical science. Business mathematics is all about how the problems from the realm of business and technology can be translated into the language of mathematics and then be solved by means of mathematical models.

Business informatics (Wirtschaftsinformatik)

Business Informatics combines theory, methods, and techniques from business and organisational science with the tools and practices of information- and computer science. Business Informatics will give you the technical, analytical, business, and systems know-how to integrate computer technology into vital business operations and administrative tasks in order to design information systems for maximum utility and value in an organization.

Industrial engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen)

Business and engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen/Ingénierie commerciale) combines economic aspects with engineering, mechanical and technological concepts. The study path therefore simultaneously addresses the issues in the field of economic and engineering science and ideal for people with diverse interests in business, economics, engineering, machinery, automation and technology. In short, engineers of this specialty are an interface between the industrial and economic sector.
